Description

Each full-dose capsule of Active B Complex provides adults with the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for the full range of B vitamins, including thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, biotin, folate and vitamin B12. Active B Complex uses the active form of vitamins B2 (riboflavin-5-phosphate), B6 (pyridoxal-5-phosphate), folate (Metafolin®) and B12 (methylcobalamin) better assimilated by the body. Metafolin® is a calcium salt of L-methylfolate, the mainly active form of folate in the body. Compared to folic acid, L-methylfolate has a significantly higher bioavailability. For example, in healthy women who were supplemented with an equivalent amount (~400 mcg) of either L-methylfolate or folic acid for 24 weeks, red blood cell folate concentrations were significantly higher in the women who received the L-methylfolate supplement.

Dosage

Adults: Take one capsule once daily or as directed by your practitioner.
