Description

ADR Formula® combines whole adrenal cortex and adrenal gland with a blend of herbs traditionally used in herbal medicine, as well as pantothenic acid and vitamin C. Eleutherococcus helps the body respond to mental and physical stress by regulating adrenal hormone function, called corticosterone. Similarly, ginseng has long been used to help the body adapt to its environment by improving endurance under stress. During prolonged physical stress, such as exercise, ginseng promotes endurance and stamina by sparing carbohydrates and allowing skeletal muscles to oxidize free fatty acids for energy production. This versatile herb also helps the body adapt to stress by mediating levels of certain adrenal hormones, including corticosterone. In addition, ginseng is used in herbal medicine as a supportive therapeutic method for promoting healthy glucose levels, which can be elevated during stress due to the increased activity of adrenal hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. Licorice extract is also included to help relieve inflammatory disorders of the digestive tract, soothing the mucous membranes as an emollient. Licorice is also traditionally used in herbal medicine as an expectorant to help relieve chest pain, such as catarrh, cough and bronchitis.

Dosage

Adults: Take one capsule daily between meals, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 1 month.
