Description

Quercetin is a flavonoid antioxidant with many anti-inflammatory properties. Pro quercetin is effective in the management of hypersensitivity reactions (IgE type I mediated reactions) that cause histamine release, such as seasonal allergies. Quercetin relieves allergies by stabilizing mast cell and basophil membranes, preventing the release of histamine. It also blocks enzymes responsible for producing inflammatory mediators that sensitize the body's pain receptors.

Most quercetin formulas are derived from citrus sources. This can be problematic because citrus fruits are generally allergenic.
