Description

Biotone EFA is an effective blend of free plant sterols derived from lecithin, essential fatty acids and antioxidants that promotes optimal health. The free plant sterols act on the absorption of cholesterol in the intestine. They displace dietary cholesterol in micelles, resulting in increased excretion of cholesterol in the stool and reduced serum cholesterol levels. In a randomized, placebo-controlled trial involving 66 adults with hypercholesterolemia, daily supplementation with 0.3 to 0.5 g of plant sterol esters significantly reduced LDL cholesterol levels, depending on the dose administered, over a four-week period. Antioxidants promote good health by scavenging free radicals to prevent oxidative damage.

Dosage

Adults: Take four capsules twice daily with meals or as directed by your practitioner.
