Description

Cortisol Calm is a blend of herbal extracts, including Sensoril Sleepy Cockroach®, Rhodiola and Magnolia, enriched with Vitamin D and L-theanine - a bioactive compound extracted from green tea. Cortisol, released in response to stress, is primarily produced by the adrenal cortex. Intra-abdominal adipocytes also produce cortisol. Recognized as an adaptogen through extensive research, Rhodiola helps to temporarily relieve symptoms of stress (such as mental fatigue and feeling weak) by maintaining healthy adrenal cortisol activity. Recently, a double-blind crossover study examined the effect of Rhodiola on mental performance in healthy physicians. The results suggest that rhodiola helps reduce fatigue under stressful conditions and supports cognitive function, including mental focus and endurance. In another double-blind, placebo-controlled pilot study, Rhodiola helped students combat physical and mental stress. The ability to promote proper functioning of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, norepinephrine and dopamine plays a role in this herb's ability to support cognitive function, memory and attention. Cortisol Calm also contains Sensoril Sleepy Cockroach®, a clinically studied form of this herb. Sleepy cockle is traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine to improve memory and promote sleep. Because stress can reduce immune response over time, vitamin D is included to help maintain immune function, including maturation, differentiation and migration of immune cells.

Dosage

Adults: Take 1 capsule twice daily, one in the morning and one in the evening with a meal, or as recommended by a health care professional. Do not take immediately before bedtime.

Medicinal Ingredients(per capsule): Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) 10 mcg (400 IU/ UI), Sensoril® Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), Root and Leaf Extract (8:1, 2000 mg dried equivalent) 250 mg, Rhodiola (Rhodiola rosea) Root Extract (standardized to contain 3% total rosavins and 1% salidroside) 125 mg, Magnolia-bark (Magnolia officinalis) Stem Bark Extract (standardized to contain 2% honokiol) 100 mg, L-Theanine 50 mg.

Non-medicinal ingredients: Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, purified water, ascorbyl palmitate.
