Curcum-Evail is a patent-pending formula of highly bioavailable curcuminoids. This product contains a unique combination of three bioactive health-promoting curcuminoids: curcumin, bisdemethoxy curcumin and demethoxy curcumin harmonized with turmeric oil. These three curcumi- noids are the most powerful and protective constituents of turmeric root and are the best studied. Naturally occurring turmeric root powder contains only 5-7% curcumin, while the mixture contained in Curcum-Evail is 95% curcuminoids, of which curcumin is 70%.

The crystalline structure of curcumin explains, among other things, its difficult absorption by the gastrointestinal tract. According to the researchers: "The potential health benefits of curcumin are limited by its low solubility, low intestinal absorption and rapid metabolism and elimination. As a result, Curcum-Evail is developed using the new Designs for Health Evail process, which enhances the release and absorption of the curcumin present in this all-natural formulation. This process uses a proprietary blend of turmeric oil, sunflower lecithin and vitamin E, avoiding the use of potentially harmful surfactants. This technology increases the rate of release while reducing the absorption time of the nutrients which can contribute to superior effects despite lower dosages.

Curcum-Evail is unique in that it has demonstrated conclusive results in increasing tetrahydrocurcumin as well as curcumin, demethoxy curcumin and bisdemethoxy curcumin in plasma. Tetrahydrocurcumin is a major metabolite derived from curcumin that has shown remarkable antioxidant properties surpassing those of curcumin alone. Compared to some reference products containing equal concentrations of curcuminoids, Curcum-Evail exhibited significantly higher absorption with plasma levels of tetrahydrocurcumin nearly 30 times higher. The area under the curve (AUC) amounts of the plasma concentrations of the three curcuminoids in this formulation were much higher than for the reference products.

Dosage

Adults: Take 1 capsule daily with a meal or as directed by a health care practitioner. For use beyond 8 weeks, consult a health care practitioner. The recommended dosage is for typical use by a healthy 150 pound adult. Health care professionals are encouraged to use their clinical judgment in recommending specific dosages based on goals, body weight, medical history and use in combination with medications and/or other supplements.
