Description

Digest Plus is a complete digestive formula containing natural enzymes and betaine hydrochloride to reduce bloating after high-calorie, high-fat meals. Betaine hydrochloride is frequently used to control stomach acid levels, especially in people with gastric hypochlorhydria. In a recent clinical trial, a single dose of 1500 mg betaine hydrochloride reduced stomach pH in healthy participants with the drug-induced gastric hypochlorhydria by the proton pump inhibitor rabeprazole. Within 30 minutes of ingesting betaine hydrochloride, the average stomach pH of the participants was drastically reduced from about 5.2 to about 0.6.
