Description

Genitourinary infections affect more than one billion women worldwide each year and are the main reason why a woman visits the gynecologist. These infections can be bacterial (bacterial vaginosis) or fungal (vulvovaginal candidiasis) in nature. The types of bacteria in the vaginal canal fluctuate depending on a variety of factors including hormone levels, diet, sexual contact and douching; however, the basic composition is dominated by Lactobacilli in healthy women. It is the depletion of these healthy organisms that leaves a woman prone to urinary and vaginal infections.

Certain probiotic bacteria can help modulate the immune system and displace the pathogens that can cause these infections. The dominant species in a healthy vaginal canal should be Lactobacillus. Lactobacilli produce H2O2, which helps maintain a vaginal pH close to 4.0, which is essential for vaginal health. Maintaining a vaginal pH around 4.0 reduces a woman's risk of developing vaginosis.

Dosage

Adult women: Use 1 capsule per day.

Insert one capsule intravaginally daily before bed for 10 days or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.

If you are using vaginally inserted antibiotics, use this product at least 2-3 hours before or after taking them.

Non-medicinal ingredients : Magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, lactose, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, skim milk powder, sucrose, and ascorbic acid in a vegetable capsule composed of vegetable carbohydrate gum and purified water.

Femmes adultes : Utiliser 1 capsule par jour.
