Description

HMF Forte is a combination of four proprietary human-sourced probiotic strains that support gastrointestinal health in adults and children. Supplements containing large amounts of combinations of microorganisms help maximize intestinal colonization. In a randomized placebo-controlled trial involving 22 adults, daily consumption of probiotic supplements containing Lactobacillus acidophilus (CUL-60 and CUL-21) stimulated recovery of microflora from antibiotic damage. In the same vein, research has also shown that a probiotic supplement containing CUL-21 can greatly colonize the intestines of a healthy adult. Lactobacilli and Bifido bacteria are the most commonly used probiotics and are safe for adults and children. They colonize the intestines, promote the release of antimicrobial peptides from host cells and decrease the proliferation of pathogens. Probiotics also control the permeability of epithelial cells by monitoring the formation of tight junctions and preventing pathogen adhesion to cells by increasing the release of mucins on the intestinal surface.

Dosage

Adults: Take 1 capsule twice daily with meals, at least 2-3 hours before or after taking antibiotics, or as directed by your healthcare professional.

Non-medicinal ingredients: Cellulose, fructooligosaccharides (FOS), hypromellose, silica, magnesium stearate.
