Description

HMF Natogen is a combination of four patented human-sourced probiotic strains that promote intestinal health in young children. Babies born prematurely, by cesarean section, or those exposed to perinatal or postnatal antibiotics have poor colonization of intestinal bacteria. Probiotics are safe for young children and effectively colonize the intestines, the critical barriers that selectively allow the uptake or promote the excretion of harmful substances. The human digestive tract contains more than 400 species of bacteria, and the bacterial balance must be maintained for a healthy gut. Probiotics compete with pathogenic bacteria for the colonization of the digestive tract and promote the presence of beneficial bacteria. In addition to decreasing bacterial survival, probiotics strengthen the epithelial barrier. They control permeability by monitoring the integrity of tight junctions and prevent pathogenic adhesion to epithelial cells by increasing the release of mucins on the intestinal surface. Together, these processes decrease the entry of gut bacteria into the circulation. Probiotics have a transient impact on the host microflora; once ingestion is complete, their numbers decrease or disappear. Since the composition of the microflora in children remains relatively unchanged after infancy, it is highly dependent on diet, even more so than in adults.

Dosage

Children (1 to 4 years old): In a glass, add water to a measure of Natogen HMF and mix. Take once a day with meals, at least two to three hours before or after taking antibiotics, or as directed by your practitioner.
