Description

Iron Plus Essentials is an iron-based supplement that provides support for red blood cells to promote oxygen and ferritin transport in the body. Ferrochel brand iron bisglycinate has been developed using a patented chemical process that allows it to be rapidly absorbed between the lumen of the intestines and the mucosal cells before being released throughout the body. The intestinal mucosa controls the release of Ferrochel, confirming the safety profile of this iron amino acid chelate. In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, iron supplementation resulted in improved ferritin levels, energy and well-being in female subjects. This formula contains buffered vitamin C (calcium ascorbate), which improves iron absorption.

Dosage

Adults: Take 1 capsule daily with a meal, a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products, or as directed by a health care practitioner.
