Description

Mag Cal Formula 2 supports muscle and bone health using a combination of magnesium, calcium and vitamin D. Each of these active ingredients plays an important role in maintaining optimal muscle function and bone mineral density. Magnesium is a cofactor for the enzyme creatine kinase, which forms ATP from phosphocreatine stored in muscle tissue during intense exercise (known as anaerobic lactic acid metabolism). In a double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial of 25 healthy male volleyball players with normal magnesium levels, supplementation with 350 mg of magnesium oxide for 4 weeks supported muscle function in combination with intense exercise by improving anaerobic lactic acid metabolism. Following supplementation, lactic acid production during rigorous exercise was remarkably reduced in the magnesium group compared to baseline measurements.

Dosage

Adults: Take 1 tablet daily with a meal, a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products, or as directed by your healthcare professional.
