Description

Peptic-Care ZC provides patented support for the reduction of gastrointestinal discomfort by reducing inflammation of the digestive tract. Zinc-carnosine has a low dissociation rate and adheres to the stomach membrane. Once dissociated, zinc and carnosine promote gastrointestinal comfort by maintaining healthy cytokine release and reducing inflammation in the gut. Studies have suggested that this combination has greater effects on gastric membrane integrity than either ingredient without the other. Inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract can increase the permeability of the gut and cause epithelial damage, affecting the integrity of intestinal tight junctions and villi. This can lead to microbial imbalance and gastrointestinal discomfort. A Japanese multi-center, double-blind study of 299 subjects described a positive effect of zinc-carnosine on objective and subjective parameters of gastric health, particularly after eight weeks. Seven other clinical evaluations involving more than 550 volunteers showed similar results. In particular, one study reported that zinc-carnosine maintained healthy gut permeability, which is associated with gastrointestinal comfort. The formula also contains vitamin C, an antioxidant, to promote healing by helping to form collagen.

Dosage

Adults: Take 1 capsule twice daily with food, a few hours before or after taking other medications, or as directed by a healthcare professional.
