Description

Saccharomyes boulardii is a yeast probiotic.

S. boulardii has multiple mechanisms of action, including inhibition of certain bacterial toxins, anti-inflammatory properties, the ability to stimulate the intestinal mucosa to increase brush border enzymes, and immunostimulatory effects.

S. boulardii has been shown to be beneficial in the treatment of acute gastroenteritis and recurrent infections, as well as in the prevention of antibiotic-associated diarrhea.

S. boulardii has been researched in children and infants and has been shown to be a treatment option and used for the prevention of childhood gastroenteritis and antibiotic associated diarrhea.

Dosage

Children 6-12 years old, adolescents 13-17 years old, and adults: Take 1 capsule one to three times daily or as directed by your health care practitioner.

Non-medicinal ingredients : Maltodextrin, ascorbic acid, and vegetable magnesium stearate in a capsule composed of vegetable carbohydrate gum and purified water.
