Description

SAMe (S-Adenosylmethionine) is a metabolite found in all living cells. It is a methyl group donor in over 100 different reactions and contributes to the synthesis, activation and/or metabolism of hormones, neurotransmitters, nucleic acids, phospholipids and proteins. Methyl groups act as a signal in the body, regulating gene expression and cell function. As demonstrated in over 40 clinical studies, SAMe also promotes mood balance. In a meta-analysis of results from 25 controlled clinical trials involving 791 subjects, SAMe had a statistically significant positive effect on mood, likely due to its support of monoamine (a neurotransmitter) synthesis and activity, including dopamine and serotonin. It also promotes healthy protein turnover and maintains healthy phospholipid methylation to support phosphatidylcholine production and the integrity and fluidity of cell membranes. Studies suggest that it also supports joint comfort and flexibility in people with osteoarthritis. In a meta-analysis of 11 studies, SAMe demonstrated statistically significant support for joint function. It is believed to relieve OA pain by supporting proteoglycan synthesis and helping to stabilize and protect proteoglycans.

Dosage

Adults:  For healthy mood balance, take 2 capsules 1-3 times daily. For osteoarthritic pain, take 2 capsules 3 times daily. Take in divided doses, between meals, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. For osteoarthritic pain, use for a minimum of 8 weeks to see beneficial effects. Consult a healthcare practitioner for use beyond 12 weeks.

Medicinal Ingredients(per capsule): SAMe (from S-Adenosyl-L-methionine disulfate tosylate) 200 mg

Non-medicinal ingredients: Vegetarian capsule (hypromellose, water), hypoallergenic vegetable cellulose, calcium oxide, ascorbyl palmitate, calcium chloride.

Adultes : Pour le maintien d'une humeur égale, prendre 2 capsules 1 à 3 fois par jour. Pour la douleur associée à l'arthrose, prendre 2 capsules 3 fois par jour.
