Description

Strontium is an important mineral for bone health and is found in most foods containing calcium.

While supplements such as calcium, vitamin D and vitamin K maintain bone health and conventional bone health medications reduce bone breakdown, strontium actually helps rebuild bone. It does this by increasing osteoblast production while decreasing osteoclast production, resulting in increased bone development and decreased bone loss. Since the molecular structure of strontium is similar to that of calcium, it is believed to activate calcium receptors in bone, stimulating the formation of new bone tissue and encouraging the body to efficiently use calcium in bone tissue, while inhibiting bone breakdown. Strontium Support II is an excellent addition to calcium supplementation for people with osteoporosis or osteopenia, postmenopausal women or those at increased risk of bone fractures.

Dosage

Adults: Take one or two capsules daily on an empty stomach, at least two hours before or after a meal or after consuming calcium or milk; these foods can significantly reduce strontium absorption if taken together. Ensure adequate daily intake of calcium and vitamin D.

Strontium (from strontium citrate) 341 mg

Non-medicinal ingredients: Sodium stearylfumarate. Capsule: hypromellose, glycerin and purified water.
