AOR's Tri B12 Synergy is a combination of three active and independent forms of vitamin B12. Methylcobalamin, hydroxocobalamin and adenosylcobalamin are three distinct cobalamin factors, each with its own specific benefits. Taken together, they provide an appropriate dose of bioavailable and active forms of B12 for comprehensive support in compensating for a deficiency. Vitamin B12 deficiency can result from poor diet, altered microbiota or malabsorption caused by diseases such as Crohn's or celiac disease or the use of proton pump inhibitors such as antacids. Populations particularly at risk include the elderly, vegans, and smokers. Chronic use of antibiotics and even genetic factors may also increase the risk.

Vitamin B12 is used as a cofactor in enzymatic processes that facilitate reactions in the body, like a key to start a car. Each form of cobalamin - methyl-, hydroxyl-, adenosyl- - is vital for different cellular processes.
