Description

Thyroid Support Complex is a complete formula containing vitamins, minerals and herbal extracts. It has been specially designed to support the proper functioning of the thyroid gland. Iodine is absorbed by the thyroid gland and promotes the formation of the hormones triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4). I-Tyrosine is also a key component in the synthesis of thyroid hormones. Healthy levels of selenium have been associated with the maintenance of healthy thyroid cell metabolism and thyroid hormone function. Also acting as a powerful antioxidant, selenium combines with vitamin C and curcuminoids to neutralize free radicals, including those that affect the activity of the enzyme iodothyronine 5'-monodeiodase, the limiting factor in the conversion of T4 hormone to the more active T3 hormone. Thyroid Support Complex also contains standardized extracts of forskohlii, guggul and cocklebur, herbs that have been used traditionally for a very long time.

Dosage

Adults: Take 2 capsules daily with a meal, a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 8 weeks.
