Description

Depression can affect people at any stage of life. A person suffering from depression may experience a variety of symptoms that may include fatigue, difficulty concentrating, change in appetite, irritability, restlessness, withdrawal, insomnia or excessive sleeping and, in some cases, thoughts of death.

The causes of depression are still unknown, but it is thought that imbalances in neurotransmitters or chemicals in the brain contribute to symptoms. Several pharmaceutical agents can be used to manage mood imbalances, however, many have undesirable and negative side effects.

Fish oil, and specifically EPA, has been extensively researched for its role in managing mood imbalances.

Dosage

Adults: Take 1-4 capsules daily or as directed by your health care practitioner.
