Description

Vitamin D is best known for its role in calcium absorption in the digestive system and in bone formation. However, it has many other actions, including balancing immune function and supporting mood. Vitamin D is synthesized by the skin following exposure to the sun's ultraviolet rays, but many people do not spend enough time outdoors and become deficient in this essential vitamin. Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to many health problems, including osteoporosis, rickets, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, cancer, SAD (seasonal affective disorder), chronic pain and frequent infections.

Elderly people and children, those living in northern climates during the winter and people with chronic diseases generally need vitamin D supplementation. Vitamin D3 is the most effective form of supplemental vitamin D (a less absorbable form compared to vitamin D2). AOR's vegan vitamin D3 comes from organic lichen, making it a vegan-friendly formula. It is suspended in a medium chain triglyceride solution for maximum absorption and has a neutral taste, making it easy to take.

AOR's liquid vitamin D3 is available in two sizes: adult and child, with a calibrated dropper for accurate dosing. It is considered safe for people of all ages (from infants to the elderly) and therefore can be taken up to 1000 IU per day.

Dosage

Adults: Take six drops (0.2 ml) daily with food, or as directed by a healthcare professional.
