Designs for Health offre la N-acétyl-cystéine en capsule de 900 mg. La N-acétyl-cystéine (NAC) est un important acide aminé précurseur du glutathion (GSH), l’un des plus puissants antioxydants intracellulaires de l’orga- nisme, qui favorise l’optimisation de la phase II de la biotransformation hépatique (détoxification du foie). La NAC est la forme la plus stable en tant que complément nutritionnel de l’acide aminé L-cystéine. Elle joue un rôle essentiel pour la respiration en soutenant la santé pulmonaire, est également utilisée pour faciliter la récupération musculaire post-entraînement et agit en tant que cytoprotecteur envers une vaste gamme de mani- festations pro-oxydantes et kune étiopathologie à caractère inflammatoire. De plus, en raison de la présence d’un groupe sulfhydryle (-SH), la NAC offre une protection contre l’exposition aux métaux lourds ainsi qu’à d’autres substances nocives. La NAC se retrouve naturellement dans les espèces végétales d’Allium, en particulier dans les oignons, pour lesquels la biodisponibilité est plus intéressante que pour le GSH seul en supplémentation.

Designs for Health offers N-acetylcysteine in a 900 mg capsule. N-acetylcysteine (NAC) is an important amino acid precursor to glutathione (GSH), one of the body's most powerful intracellular antioxidants, which promotes the optimization of phase II hepatic biotransformation (liver detoxification). NAC is the most stable form of the amino acid L-cysteine as a nutritional supplement. It plays an essential role in respiration by supporting lung health, is also used to facilitate post-workout muscle recovery, and acts as a cytoprotector against a wide range of pro-oxidant and inflammatory etiopathology. Additionally, due to the presence of a sulfhydryl group (-SH), NAC offers protection against exposure to heavy metals and other harmful substances. NAC is naturally found in Allium plant species, particularly onions, where bioavailability is higher than that of GSH supplementation alone.
