Description

D3 2500 provides 2,500 IU (62.5 mcg) of vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) per capsule for increased bioavailability. The vitamin D receptor is present in almost all human cells, demonstrating the important role of vitamin D in the maintenance of good health. Despite the importance of vitamin D for many physiological functions, many many Canadians have insufficient levels. This may be due to insufficient sun exposure, wearing covering clothing, limited intake of foods containing vitamin D, dark skin color, advanced age or low intake of supplements of vitamin D. With just one capsule per day, this formula helps prevent vitamin D deficiency and may reduce the risk of developing osteoporosis when combined with an adequate amount of calcium, a healthy diet and regular physical exercise.

Dosage

Adults: Take 1 capsule daily or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Take with an adequate calcium intake. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 6 months.
