Description

The antiviral formula offers a synergistic combination of five clinically validated plant extracts, standardized to ensure optimal potency and effectiveness. ECHINAMIDE is a well-established formulation of organically grown Echinacea purpurea, triple standardized to key constituents (alkylamides, cichoric acid and polysaccharides) which have been shown to enhance immune function and significantly reduce significantly reduced cold symptoms in randomized clinical trials. ECHINAMIDE stimulates the non-specific immune system, increasing the total number of leukocytes, neutrophils, monocytes and natural killer cells. Its alkylamides have anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects, in part by binding to cannabinoid receptors on immune cells. Polysaccharides and polyphenols induce cell-mediated immunity and help stabilize secretory IgA levels. Although meta-analyses generally support the use of echinacea as an antiviral, standardization of its key components is essential to ensure clinical benefit.

This powerful antiviral formula also contains extracts of lomatium and reishi mushroom, antiviral plants used traditionally for a long time. Reishi contains triterpenoids that inhibit both viral entry into the cell and viral replication, and lomatium has in vitro inhibitory effects on rotavirus and blocks the production of CXCL10, a key signaling molecule for influenza and d other viral infections. Echinacea, licorice, and astragalus extracts have been shown to increase CD25 production and work synergistically to induce greater expression of CD69, two indicators of immune cell activation and regulation. The broad antiviral and adaptogenic properties of these herbs support their combined use to optimize immune function and support upper respiratory health.

Dosage

Adults: 1 capsule 3 times daily or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner. For acute needs, 1 capsule every 2-3 hours, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Take at the first signs of infection. To avoid digestive upset, take with food. Consult a health care practitioner for use longer than 6 weeks.
