Description

PCOS CARE® provides the two most common forms of inositol, natural and complementary, which have been clinically shown to improve ovarian and metabolic function in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Numerous clinical trials of myo-inositol have shown a positive effect on spontaneous ovulation and meiotic maturation and quality of human oocytes, as well as improvements in metabolic risk factors and reductions in androgen levels in women with PCOS. A recent meta-analysis of seven trials showed that myo-inositol increased pregnancy rates in subfertile women undergoing ovulation induction for ICSI or ET-IVF, and that it reduced the number of unsuitable eggs and medications needed for ovulation.

Likewise, D-chiro-inositol has been shown to improve ovarian function and metabolism, including cycle regularity, blood pressure, HOMA index, and hormones such as insulin and LH. In PCOS Care, these complementary nutrients are combined in a 40:1 ratio that has been shown to be more effective than myo-inositol alone in improving metabolic symptoms and IVF outcomes in women with PCOS, and according to the report dosage recommended by the International Consensus Conference on Myo-inositol and D-chiro-inositol.

Dosage

Adults: 1 capsule 1 to 3 times daily or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner.

• Folate (L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate, calcium salt) 200 mcg

Nonmedicinal ingredients: Organic Oryza sativa (rice) hull powder.
